Welcome to

With its Innovation Platform for Future-Relevant Competencies (InZuKo), the University of Cologne is building a platform that brings together teachers, students, and experts to jointly identify future-relevant competencies and teach them in innovative teaching and learning programs.

To this end

  • future-relevant skills are being developed in funded focus programs with interdisciplinary teams.
  • a comprehensive range of advisory and support services is being established.
  • an open teaching and learning program is being created.

InZuKo thrives on participation: all members of the university and a growing network of experts are invited to contribute ideas and get actively involved, for example in focus programs. In this way, we jointly explore future-relevant skills, create new teaching and learning opportunities, and connect stakeholders inside and outside the university to drive innovation in education.

The Platform for Future-Relevant Competencies is based at the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching and Learning at the University of Cologne (Prof. Dr. Beatrix Busse) and is funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education Teaching as part of the Teaching Architecture program.
